How would you describe your style? Minimal, timeless, neutral. Life is busy so I need my wardrobe to be comfortable, well-made and versatile.
What’s the oldest thing in your wardrobe? A black silk slip dress I bought from Portobello Road Market in London about 20 years ago.
And the most recent addition? A Camilla and Marc “Eon” long-sleeve top with shoulder pads.
What would you wear … on a first date? I’d keep it casual in Henne jeans, a cute black top, heels and a bit of bling. … on a plane? A Skims tracksuit with burgundy Loewe “Ballet Runners”. … on the red carpet? Rachel Gilbert’s gold sequin “Remy” dress with gold strappy Jimmy Choo heels.
What’s your favourite fashion era? It’s got to be the ’80s. It was bold, expressive and unapologetic. I love the power dressing mixed with vibrant colours and statement accessories. It’s quite the opposite of my personal style, which is very understated, but I just love how ’80s fashion celebrated confidence and individuality.
Who are your favourite designers? I like to support local designers. I like Camilla and Marc, Viktoria & Woods, Esse Studios and Anna Quan – her “Penelope” knit dress is a go-to. I also love MA-JR for suiting and Dinosaur Designs for chunky jewellery.
What’s your fragrance of choice? Diptyque “Eau Rose”.
What are three essential items in your wardrobe? Oversized tees from Bayse, a black Assembly Label linen slip dress, and a blue denim patchwork shirt from Sézane.
Any go-to jewellery? All my jewellery has sentimental value. I wear a Linden Cook “Impression” gold pendant necklace which has my children’s fingerprints on it, and a Cartier “Lanieres” ring and matching earrings my husband gave me.
Can you remember a favourite outfit you wore as a child? Yes, when I was eight, it was a frilly denim skirt which was a hand-me-down from my cousin. I remember my mum trying to convince me to wear something else.
What was your first fashion moment? It was my wedding 12 years ago, when I wore a stunning sequinned dress with ostrich feathers by Rachel Gilbert. I’d wear it today if I could fit into it.
And your worst fashion mistake? In my early 20s I had dark brown hair with Jennifer Aniston layers. The colour didn’t suit my skin tone and the style was terrible, but I thought I looked so sophisticated.
What’s on your wish list? The Ulla Johnson “Ina” fringed wool jumper and matching skirt – it’s a beautiful set for winter and you can also wear the pieces separately. Also, a pair of Loewe “Flamenco Knot” mules.
Is there something you’d never wear? A beanie with a pompom on top.
Is there a current trend you like? I’m loving fringing. It might be a trend but it feels timeless. I have a white Aje dress with fringing I love and my eye on a Camilla and Marc dress with fringe detail, and Loewe’s fringe “Puzzle” bag. I’m all for it.
What do you sleep in? Sheridan “Realm” pyjamas.
What shoes do you wear most often? Black slides – they’re versatile and comfortable. I have multiple pairs by everyone from Alias Mae to Ferragamo.
Who’s your favourite fashion icon? Diane Keaton is iconic. I love the way she wore masculine tailoring with an element of playfulness – it was sophisticated and quirky. I like when people have a signature style and really own it.
What do you wear on a typical working day? A white or burgundy oversized tee with wide-leg MA-JR pants and chunky slides. If I have an event in the evening, I might wear a black dress with lace detail at the hem and swap my slides out for heels.
What’s your favourite off-duty, casual Sunday look? Assembly Label’s “Kona” linen maxi dress and camel-coloured slides.
