Dog of the Week: Blondie
This is one of the most affectionate dogs you’ll meet. Her name is Blondie, and she’s genuinely lovely. It seems she’s grown up around people, including children, who adored her. She’s got lots of love to give.
We think she’d make a great pet for retirees or perhaps someone who works from home a lot. She certainly loves people but wouldn’t want to be left alone for too long.
Blondie is still young at just over two years old, and she’s already learned some great staffy traits. She will sit for food and obey your commands. But mostly she just wants to cuddle.
She walks really well on a lead, although at this stage, she’s not great around other dogs. Blondie will be a great family pet, everyone’s favourite.

Cat of the Week: Lupa
This cutie is Lupa, a sweet little girl with a cute, quirky smile. Or an overbite, if you will. We think it adds character, and it certainly gives her a point of difference from other cats.
Lupa is not yet two years old, but she’s already smart enough to know that people are good. She will happily curl up on your lap and be your buddy. After adoption, it’s normal that this might not happen immediately with such a big change of lifestyle and whatnot. But it will happen.
She seems well-behaved with other cats too, so if you have an existing kitty who needs a feline friend, Lupa could be perfect.
This girl also entertains herself with toys and games. It’s a bit funny because we’ve noticed that she’s more inclined to play with toys if she thinks nobody is watching.
Kuma’s been adopted and the staff and volunteers at the RSPCA couldn’t be happier.
Pawnotes: After appearing twice in this article over several months, our sweet Akita girl, Kuma, has been adopted! We cried. Thank you for supporting us and spreading the word about our amazing adoptable animals.
