Dog of the Week: Chocco

This sweet girl is 10.5 years old, and just as you’d imagine with a girl of that vintage, she’s already a wonderful pet to live with.

Chocco is house-trained, she’ll sleep happily in a crate and she’s a sweetheart when it comes to people. She’s lived with people all of her life and loves them.

Chocco still likes to play with toys, and our volunteers all rave about this dog. They love her. She’s a delight to walk, and really, as far as shelter dogs go, Chocco is ready to go.

She’d want to be the only dog in the house so she can get all the love you’re offering. However, on walks or at a park, she’s fine with other dogs. This is simply a wonderful, older dog who would be a brilliant addition to most households.

Cat of the Week: Stetson

Stetson has been the star of our Facebook account this week with scores of people commenting on his good looks and that wonderful, fluffy head of his.

He’s a delightful cat as well, showing us charm and friendliness with most people. He does need a few moments to warm up to you, though. But give him that moment, and you’ll see he’s a great cat.

Overall, Stetson is a low-energy cat. He’s perfectly happy to chill out and lounge around your home, seeking out the sunny places.

This lovely chap doesn’t seem to have much tolerance for other cats, so if you’re interested in adopting, he’d need to be the only cat in the home. He’s FIV-positive, but since he’ll be the only cat, this isn’t an issue.
