Mining and agricultural industries are keeping ‘this country ticking’

Geologist Ian Plimer says the recent agriculture and mining celebration days’ essential message is to “leave us alone” and get on with employing people to keep Australia going.

“The essential message is, leave us alone to get on and employ people and keep this country ticking over because mining and agriculture are critical to our living standards,” he told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.

“If we don’t have successful mining, successful agriculture, we are finished.

“Government has interfered so much … it’s become almost impossible for people to invest in Australia.”

Mr Plimer sat down with Mr Bernardi to discuss the mining and agriculture sectors which are under threat by the Albanese Labor government.
