We’re bad ‘n’ mean, the Green Machine … the Raiders have added another record to an ever-growing list, finishing the 2026 season with a grand total of 28,161 members.

This blows the club’s previous membership record of 25,356 out of the park and hopefully signals even further growth in 2027.

There’s a good reason our Canberra Raiders enjoy such electric support. While they’re not always an easy team to cheer for, the passion they inspire is genuine, as is their value to our local economy.

Research commissioned by the Raiders and carried out by Nielsen Sports revealed NRL and NRLW matches injected $27 million into the local economy in 2025. But it’s not about facts or figures for Carolyn Fehlman – she’s in it for the love of the game.

“I’ve been a member on and off since 2022. You can find me out at GIO for pretty much every home game,” she says.

“I don’t think any other club in the league has such a strong sense of community. You really feel like an extension of the team, and the Viking clap in person just can’t be beat.

“Membership is great value for money. I’ve also scored discounted merch, joined the honour guard at half-time … even watched the team train and had my jersey signed afterwards.”

Signing up scores members a variety of perks, including merchandise packs, priority access to tickets, and discounted food and drink at home games. Choose your ideal vantage point with reserved seating, or grab a flexible GA pass that covers from four games up to the full season.

Peter Schroder has been a fan since childhood and clocked in 17 years of membership. He says it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from – if you love the game and support the team, you’re part of the family.

“I signed up in high school with a few mates, and the rest was history,” Peter says.

“It’s about the little things. Young members get their gear signed, the club always welcomes feedback and keeps us involved with merch drops, design competitions and special events.

“Looking around during a game at rows and rows of lime green makes you feel genuinely proud to be there.”

Peter fondly recalls the family bundling up in layers of merch before heading out to winter home games.

The fans’ sentiment is reflected openly by the club itself. As head of consumer business at Canberra Raiders, George Giannakakis knows firsthand just how deep the team’s appreciation goes.

“We are truly indebted to our members and their contribution to the club,” he says.

“Ricky and the players say throughout the year that our members are the most loyal in the game. No matter the conditions or the team’s performance, they turn up week in, week out.

“We are so incredibly lucky to represent such a passionate sporting community and see it come alive in full force each time the NRL and NRLW teams take to the field.”
