Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan has slammed British tennis player Emma Raducanu for participating in a woke advert he believes was “designed” to “irritate” him.
The advert, sponsored by HSBC, reimagines classic fairy tales with empowered female characters who don’t rely on men for success.
In the book ‘Fairer Tales’, Cinderella is portrayed as a successful businesswoman, Rapunzel as a property mogul, and Sleeping Beauty as financially independent.
Ms Raducanu features in the ad and explains the stories convey the message that women can thrive without relying on a “Prince Charming”.
“What a great story. So in the end, the princesses didn’t need a prince to save them,” Mr Morgan said.
“Of course, we all know, the best way to improve the aspirations of women is by trashing men.”
