Team Fiji women’s volleyball team has qualified for today’s quarter-final at the Sol 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara.
This was confirmed to SUNsports yesterday by head coach Varanisese Logavatu following their win against Tuvalu.
The Fijians proved to strong winning the three sets, 25-22, 25-6 and 25-16.
“We managed to have all our players that were on the bench for the past games to play,” Logavatu said.
“We started running different combination against Tuvalu where we had two setters and it worked.
“We managed to change a little bit, the heat is quite strong and we are trying to conserve our energy; control our diet and what we can do.
“I know with the crossover for the quarterfinals will be tough.”
Their opponent was decided last night after the completion of the rest of the pool matches after this edition went to press.
