Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s response to a NATO summit invitation should be a “quick and fast yes,” according to Shadow Foreign Minister Simon Birmingham.
Mr Birmingham said the reports Mr Albanese will be unable to attend the summit in Lithuania are concerning.
“There’s shouldn’t need to be any hesitation,” Mr Birmingham told Sky News Australia.
“The failure to attend if he did not go would both send the wrong signal and be a missed opportunity.”
