A soldier from 1RAR has been reported missing after he was last seen on New Year’s Eve.
Jesse Stound, 33, was last seen on Sunday morning around Annandale and University Drive.
It is understood his belongings, including his phone, were found in his barracks.
1RAR, which forms part of 3rd Brigade, is based out of Lavarack Barracks in Townsville.
A search and rescue operation has been launched with Queensland Police Service also involved.
Family and police hold concerns for Jesse as he has a medical condition.
He is described as caucasian, approximately 170cm tall with a muscular build, and bald.
Police are appealing to Jesse, or anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact them.
