Police arrested two people in Legalega, Nadi, this week after white substances believed to be methamphetamine were discovered.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime Mesake Waqa confirmed a 51-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman were in police custody.

Items seized included several clear plastics of white substances believed to be methamphetamine and $1500 cash, also believed to be proceeds of crime.

The seized substances were sent for analysis as police investigations continue.
