Dog of the Week: Harry

Harry is a big, soft-hearted cuddlebug who would love nothing more than being your loyal companion.

At two years old, this handsome American Staffordshire Terrier cross has plenty of love to give. Harry adores his people and is happiest when he can be right by their side. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or settling in for the night, Harry is more than happy to keep you company. In fact, we think he could be an excellent bed warmer.

Out and about, Harry enjoys meeting people and is always keen to make new human friends. He is looking for a home where he can be the only dog and have his humans all to himself.

If your idea of the perfect dog is a devoted best mate who wants to be part of everyday life, Harry could be your perfect match.

Solomon

Cat of the Week: Solomon

Solomon may look like he’s been through a few adventures, but these days he has his sights firmly set on a life of luxury.

This scruffy boy has traded his days on the streets for the much more sensible lifestyle of an indoor cat. Judging by his behaviour, Solomon has quickly discovered one of life’s greatest pleasures: laps!

Solomon absolutely loves affection and will happily climb onto your lap, rub himself against you and demand all the pats and scratches on offer. During his photoshoot, he proved just how committed he is to being close to people. He was so determined to get cuddles that getting a photo of him without him rubbing himself against the camera proved quite the challenge!

When Solomon first arrived at the shelter, he was covered in battle scars and understandably unsure about his new surroundings. While he has blossomed into a wonderfully affectionate boy, he may still be shy with unfamiliar people.

Solomon is FIV+ and is looking for a home where he can be the centre of attention without other pets. He may be suited to living with calm, older children.

If you have a vacant lap and plenty of love to give, Solomon would very much like to meet you.

Pawnotes: Last week’s Pets of the Week, Winkles and Ace, are still waiting for their perfect match and would love to meet you.
