Cat of the Week: Henry

Henry is gradually making progress. He’s just been moved from our ‘leave to settle’ area where our shy cats live, to the main cattery area. It’s good progress. And just look at that adorable face.

Poor Henry has been here for 100 days, a bittersweet milestone, and while our staff have spent lots of time with him and grown to truly care for him, he needs to be adopted and live in a quiet, calm home.

Our cattery lead believes Henry will quickly relax and become your couch buddy when he finds his home. He’s just out of place here at the shelter and a little overwhelmed.

He allows pats from humans but mostly stays hidden away. Aged just 7 years old, he has lots of love to give. Do you have a quiet home where Henry can blossom?

Violet

Violet knows she’s a stunner.

Dog of the Week: Violet

This is a spectacular-looking dog, with very pretty markings and a lovely temperament. She is a mixed breed, but there’s definitely some Doberman in there, giving her a refined stance and attractive features.

She’s only 18 months old and was originally adopted from us as a puppy. Unfortunately, she’s returned to us (but honestly, we love her so while she’s here, as long as it’s not for too long, we’re happy).

Violet would excel in a home with people with an active lifestyle and perhaps older teenagers. She’s a reasonably large dog, weighing 25 kg and very friendly. If she can join in family activities, she’s happy.

If you have experience with intelligent working-breed dogs and can give Violet the home she needs, she will repay you with loyalty and love.

Pawnotes: Two weeks ago we featured Harry, a large staffy X, and last week he was adopted during our Shelter Open Day! We’re so happy. Alas, plenty more great adult dogs are waiting for adoption at our shelter.
