Dog of the Week: Lottie
Sweet Lottie is an American staffy. She’s brimming with potential to become a sensational family pet. She’s the type of dog who’ll become your sidekick and stay by your side on adventures.
She’s a mid-sized girl weighing 23 kg, with a classic staffy build and beautiful blue-and-white markings. She’s food-motivated and fun to train, and at just 15 months old, she’s got lots to learn and plenty of time to do it.
Last week, Lottie passed 100 days in our shelter, which means she’s enjoyed lots of love and walks from our team, but we’d much rather see her in a loving home she can call her own.
If you’ve had experience with Staffies and can continue her training, your reward will be a delightful girl who will be loyal and loving for life.
Freddy has some delightful quirks – and it doesn’t hurt that he’s a handsome boy. Photo: RSPCA ACT.
Cat of the Week: Freddy
Freddy has been with us since February, nearly 250 days, but we’re fine with that. That’s how long Freddie has needed to settle in and warm up to people, and we are never going to rush things like that.
Thanks to our exceptionally awesome foster carers, Freddie has made huge strides and developed his own personality and a unique way of showing affection.
He’s 18 months old and gets along well with other cats. Oddly enough, when he seeks pats, he’ll approach, give you a big smoochy headbutt and walk on, expecting you to follow.
He’s not yet a lap cat, and honestly, he may never be; it’s difficult to predict. But if you have the time and love for cats like Freddy, you’ll soon learn his quirks and style. He will eventually settle into your home, we’re sure of that.
Now it’s over to you. Can you adopt Freddy and continue this lovely boy’s journey?
Pawnotes: We have some wonderful dogs currently available for adoption, including working breeds like Aussie Cattle Dogs and Kelpies. Drop by to meet our dogs; our staff are happy to answer any questions.
