Sunkist … you can see why we chose this name, right? Photo: RSPCA ACT.
Cat of the Week: Sunkist
We just love this handsome, chonker-head boy. He’s so sweet. If you visit him in our cattery and let him out, he will stroll over and request head pats and scratches immediately.
He’s not overly needy, though. In your home, he’ll do his own thing and get comfortable, but also seek you out from time to time and share those wonderful, affectionate moments that only pets can do.
We’re not sure of his age, but he’s not young, and he’s had his fair share of health issues. But our team can fill you in on everything about Sunkist and what he might need going forward.
The best medicine is a calm, loving home, and he is just so sweet; you’ll fall in love with him immediately. Ask about Sunkist when you visit the shelter; he’ll love you for it.

Dog of the Week: Maisey
This wonderful young girl is a burst of energy just waiting to light up your life! She’s so energetic and just loves time out in the sun playing and having fun. Even taking her photo was tricky.
She is gentle, however. While she is energetic, she likes children and other dogs and walks nicely on a lead. Some dogs are meant to be outdoors, going on adventures and exercising. Maisey is certainly one of those.
Not that she won’t enjoy cuddling up to you on the couch; you’ll just have to wear her out first.
Maisey will be a great family pet and one of those dogs who will love going to the local off-leash dog park where she’ll run amok and have fun with everyone and their dogs.
She just oozes joy, and you’ll see it when you meet her.
Pawnotes: Among the usual array of loving pets we have, waiting for adoption, are multiple rabbits and guinea pigs. For a smaller, less-intensive pet, ask about them when you visit.
