Webster said Halasima was “highly doubtful” but that could change depending on how training goes during the week.
One certainty is star forward Jackson Ford’s absence after injuring his ankle against the Dolphins, in his first game back from a pectoral injury.
The Warriors are yet to provide an update on the injury’s severity.
With Ford out, Eddie Ieremia-Toeava takes his spot on the interchange.
The rest of the side is the same as the one that started against the Dolphins.
Watene-Zelezniak’s return would be a major boost for the Warriors. He is their leading try-scorer this season with 20, and will provide plenty of experience to the backline.
Webster said Watene-Zelezniak was itching to get back out on the field and he was ahead of schedule.
“He’s inspirational, like he’s fearless; he just wants to play so badly for the team,” Webster said.
“I’ve had to hold him back a bit at times, just calm down, but he’s saying ‘No, give me an opportunity’, and we’ll give him an opportunity.
“He’s got to tick a lot of boxes and the science is probably against him and might not get there, but we’ll give him an opportunity.”
The Warriors last played at Eden Park for an NRL match in 2014, and have only won one of six matches played there.
It has already been confirmed the Warriors will play two matches at Eden Park next year: one on Anzac Day and another on the Sunday before the historic State of Origin clash on June 16.
Meanwhile, the Knights have made just one change with Dylan Lucas named on the extended bench, less than two months after a compound fracture in his ankle required surgery.
Knights coach Justin Holbrook says the edge forward will be given until kick-off to prove his fitness.
This will be the third meeting this season between the two sides, with the Warriors having won both clashes.
The winner will face the Penrith Panthers for a spot in the NRL Grand Final.
