The popular television personality shifted into a two-bedroom apartment in Mosman a little over a month after confirming he had split from wife, Rachel, after 22 years of marriage.

Beretta, 57, said the couple came to the conclusion at the start of the year and sold their Mosman home for $13 million in May.

Despite the monstrous sale, the presenter hasn’t brought back into the property market, instead electing to move into a rental, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The two-bedroom apartment, located on the 11th floor, in the Mosman area was advertised as a $1375-a-week rental.

Rachel has reportedly shifted further inland, moving into a two-bedroom in the St Leonards Square building with an advertised price of $1270-a-week.

The former couple wed in 2001 after first meeting in 1999, and share two teenage children: Ava, 19 and Dan, 16.

Beretta earlier this month extended his contract with the network through to 2025, but it hasn’t stopped suggestions there are already plans forming around his eventual replacement.

The Daily Telegraph first reported there were concerns about Beretta’s private life after the separation – and his teenage daughter giving birth to his first grandson Arlo.

There has also been continued speculation about his romantic life following the split.

However, Seven has since thrown its support behind the veteran TV figure by extending his deal.

It has now emerged, however, that his Sunrise understudy Katie Brown is reportedly being groomed to take over the sports presenting position on the breakfast TV show in 2025.

News Corp first reported earlier this month industry insiders believe Brown has impressed executives at Seven and will soon be promoted.

Brown has been filling in presenting the weather while funnyman Sam Mac takes time away from the show on paternity leave.

According to the report, Brown has ambitions to present the sport on Sunrise, but has also looked up to Beretta since joining the show in January.

Brown told The Courier Mail last year Beretta was her “idol” as she prepared to move from her position at Channel 7 in Queensland to her position on the Sunrise crew.

The publication also claimed there was a view from some figures behind the scenes that Beretta’s so-called “flashy lifestyle” would not resonate with TV viewers.
