Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue breaks down the “ludicrous” Gaza ceasefire vote which sent the UK’s House of Commons into chaos.

The debate was sparked when the Scottish National Party put forward a motion calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The debate went on for six hours and led to more than 50 lawmakers submitting letters of no confidence in Speaker Lindsay Hoyle.

Ms Krakue branded it a “giant virtue signalling exercise” which will have no impact on what is happening in Gaza.

“It’s really a complete fiasco, you couldn’t make it up and I think for me the saddest thing is just seeing how MPs are being intimated by this hate mob effectively,” she told Sky News Australia.
