Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry Minister Charan Jeath Singh has conveyed his well wishes to all Hindus as the auspicious 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi Pooja ends today.

Mr Singh said the festival not only united Fijians, but also imparted the morality of knowledge, accomplishment of goals, and moral values, which the lord Ganesha brought to individuals during the 10 days.

He said that Fiji had a multiethnic society, where every citizen was united through love, peace, and prosperity with such festivals to unite everyone.

Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day prayer festival celebrated worldwide, where Hindu devotees bring idols of lord Ganesha to perform daily prayer.

The festival concludes with Ganesh Visarjan, where the devotees immerse lord Ganesha’s dissolvable idol in deep water.
