The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is now official, introducing a new performance-focused smartphone built around the Dimensity 9500 chipset. The device arrives in China with a large 8600mAh battery and a strong focus on high frame rate gaming. It also comes alongside a new accessory controller designed specifically for extended gameplay.

This launch positions the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra as a dedicated gaming-oriented device within the Ace lineup. Unlike its standard variants, this model shifts to MediaTek hardware while emphasizing sustained performance and thermal stability.

High refresh display and sustained gaming performance define the device

The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra features a 6.78 inch OLED display with a resolution of 1272 by 2772 pixels. It supports a 165Hz refresh rate and includes Dolby Vision and HDR10 plus certification. Peak brightness reaches up to 3600 nits under certain conditions, while the panel uses both DC dimming and high frequency PWM dimming for eye comfort.

At its core, the Dimensity 9500 chipset is paired with a Mali GPU that introduces improvements in ray tracing and overall graphics output. The company claims stable 165fps gameplay across several popular titles. Tests suggest the phone can maintain this performance level for extended sessions, including up to three hours in certain scenarios without noticeable drops.

The battery plays a key role in this setup. With a dual cell 8600mAh design, the device targets long gaming sessions and extended daily use. It supports 120W fast charging, reaching over half capacity in around twenty minutes. A bypass charging feature is included, allowing the phone to run directly on external power during gaming to reduce heat buildup.

Design, accessories, and camera setup complete the package

The device uses an aluminum alloy frame with glass panels on both sides depending on the variant. It carries high durability ratings including IP66, IP68, and IP69K for resistance against water and dust.
