Netball Fiji is set to host the National Academy Tournament from December 12-14.
This event serves as a crucial selection platform for the Baby Pearls Under-21 wider squad, gearing up for the Netball World Youth Cup Qualifier next year.
Moreover, it signifies the conclusion of the 2023 national academy training campaign.
Eight teams will be participating in the tournament including two teams from Australia, the Victoria Institute of Sport and South Australia Institute of Sport.
The athletes in the National Academy will be divided into five teams.
There will also be a Fiji selection team comprising current Fiji Pearls squad members who are U21 and overseas-based players who have indicated their interest in representing Fiji.

“We recognise the effort our academy athletes have put in this year, and want to see them in a competition setting,” Koster said.
“This will allow Netball Fiji to select a U21 squad and prepare for the Netball World Youth Cup.
“We are also happy to have the Victorian and South Australian Institutes of Sports U19 teams in the competition. It is an opportunity for our academy athletes to test themselves”
