The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Denarau Corporation Pte Limited for the 2022 financial year is now set for February 8, 2024, after the company announced its cancellation via a public notice dated December 29.

The AGM, originally scheduled for December 14, 2023 and adjourned on that day to December 21 2023, was cancelled by a resolution of the directors of the company made on December 28.

The notice said the directors resolved that the AGM would be held on February 8, 2024, to “enable resolution of certain legal issues” connected to the AGM and related matters.

Denarau Corporation Limited general manager Nesbitt Hazelman confirmed with SunBiz that the cancellation was intended to give members of the company time to “sort out” these legal issues.

He said it was a “simple cancellation” and that’s all there was to it.

Denarau Corporation Pte Limited is the Body Corporate for Denarau Island in Nadi that oversees the integrated resort structure binding all owners and occupiers on the island.

Its primary business is to manage and further the development of a sustainable and financially viable 5-star integrated island community in Denarau.
