A four-year-old girl has been left with a broken leg after she was allegedly struck down by a man riding an e-scooter at a shopping centre in the Hunter Region on Tuesday.
According to witnesses, the man lost control of his e-scooter and struck the little girl.
Instead of checking to see if she was alright, he picked up his scooter and rode off.
Emergency services were called to the Cardiff shopping centre in Main Road responding to reports that a preschooler had been seriously injured.
The little girl was treated for a broken leg and a cut on her face before being transported to John Hunter Hospital where she will have surgery.
Police have released CCTV footage of the suspect and have appealed to the public to help find him.
