Cat of the Week: Persimon
This big, fluffy, handsome ginger is already one of our favourites, and he’s only been here for a few weeks. He is three years old, just a baby really, and ready to be the perfect addition to your home.
He’s truly Mr Friendly. He will call out to you and other cats with a little meow, showing his intent to make friends and relax together. He loves a head pat, cuddles and all the good things cats bring into our lives.
Mostly, he likes rolling around on his back, trying to look as adorable as is feline-ly possible.
He has lived with other cats, as well as dogs and children, so regardless of your household set-up, he could be a good fit. (Note: all new animals will take a little time to adjust to a new environment, especially if they’re the centre of attention like this guy.)
Ace had a rough start, but he’s ready to live his best life … and he’s just the cutest thing! Photo: RSPCA ACT.
Dog of the Week: Ace
This little handsome guy worries us a little. Not because of anything he’s done or how he behaves, but more because, compared to other dogs, he’s not quite a pup, not quite fully grown, just a brown dog.
Before you argue, hey, you’re preaching to the converted here. We know this little boy is sensational and about 7 months old; he has a long life ahead and lots to offer. We love him.
Ace came to us as a pup with some serious injuries that he needed to overcome. He’s done really well, especially since most pups spend that time learning about the world and playing like goofballs, while this guy was recuperating.
Ace missed out on getting the true ‘puppy love’ that all dogs deserve, but we don’t think it’s too late. Maybe it’s you, reading this now, who can give him the life he deserves?
Pawnotes: This time of year, RSPCA ACT is overwhelmed with kitten litters. We are looking for foster carers to help with neonates (kittens with no mum) to help us manage. Please reach out if you can help.
