Dog of the Week: Rocket

Did you meet Rocket at our Canberra Paws Walk event last Sunday? He was there enjoying the sights and sounds, strutting around, taking all the pats he could get.

He did really well considering the large crowds. Rocket does get a bit anxious meeting people at first, but he eventually relaxes.

Rocket is a Kelpie-cross, but unlike most Kelpies, he probably hasn’t been given the opportunity to burn energy. He’s actually a tad overweight, so you’ll need to keep up his diet.

Rocket is a really good boy, and being only 3 years old, he’s going to be your loyal companion for a long time to come. Visit Rocket today. Who knows, you might be the perfect person for him.

Rabbit of the Week: Benny

It’s easy to forget you can adopt rabbits at RSPCA ACT, which is why we’re featuring them in this article. Last week’s rabbit, Floppy, was adopted, so let’s see if we can find sweet Benny a home.

He’s a lovely little Netherland Dwarf, aged about 5 years old. His fur is so soft, it’s almost surreal. He’s curious and likes exploring new places and new toys.

Get this: Benny has been adopted and returned four times! That’s possibly some type of record. It’s because he doesn’t get along well with other rabbits, despite many people trying hard to make it work.

If you have a large, fully fenced space outdoors or, conversely, a nice space indoors (because Benny would love living close to you), Benny could well be your next new best friend!
