Mary who was ready to lead by example and promote a school free from bullying.
She said she was nervous but also happy to be appointed as the head girl.
“With the help of the other prefects I will try to make this school a better place for the children and also bring a friendly atmosphere into the school,” Mary said.
“I will try to balance both my studies and responsibilities to the best of my ability and I’ll focus more on my studies as this is my final year in high school.”
She believed leaders must lead by example and should always look out for the younger ones in school.

She said being confident and vocal are the qualities a leader should possess.
She dedicated her achievement to her biggest supporter, her mother.
Head boy, Jasen Lal 18, said he felt excited when he heard from students that he would be badged.
The young star form Kumi Verata Tailevu said making important choices was vital in steps towards success.
He said he wanted to instill discipline in the other students.
He advised students to “be who you are” and be good role models for the younger ones.
Both heads of Assemblies of God inspires to be lawyers one day.
