Nadi, the current holders of the INKK Farebrother Challenge Trophy, are not willing to take the Lautoka team lightly in their upcoming match at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka this weekend.

“We respect Lautoka, and they are coming in hot as they defeated Nadroga 10-5 two weeks ago,” manager Epeli Qoro said.

“We have prepared well working on our set pieces, scrums and line-outs.”

Qoro said they would treat the match against Lautoka as a serious matter.

“We have a few minor injuries in camp, but they should be back on the field on Saturday,” he said.

“We will need to improve in our discipline as we conceded a lot of penalties against Naitasiri last week.”

Qoro said his side would also need to lift the standard of their fitness.

“All teams prepare well, and it was a morale boost for the players to beat Suva in the Skipper Cup,” he said.

“We learnt from our mistakes in the 24-20 loss to Naitasiri last week, but we’ll try to improve this week.”

Qoro said they are looking forward to the match on Saturday as he believes Lautoka will give them a good game.

“I told the players that we need to work together, improve our discipline and stick to the process that we learnt in the week.”

Qoro said they are likely to have the services of Fijian Drua players Tuidraki Samusamuvodre and Samu Tawake.

“The Fijian Drua players availability will be confirmed tomorrow (today),” he said.

“I urge the Nadi fans to come in numbers and support the team.

“Lautoka is coming in strong as they won their last two games, so they’ll be a tough team to face,” he said.
